Welcome to our first Spring newsletter.
Just so you know where we are in the year, we thought a little information about this season could go a long way in helping you understand what's going on around you in the atmosphere.
Spring is one of the four temperate seasons and marks the transition from winter into summer. In the southern hemisphere, the meteorological definition is from September 1 through November 30. Severe weather most often occurs during the spring, when warm air begins to invade from lower latitudes while cold air is still pushing from the polar regions. Spring is seen as a time of growth, renewal, of new life (both plant and animal) being born. The term is also used more generally as a metaphor for the start of better times.
Let's add some vibrant annieB's colours to the season and see what energy they can bring to our world ......
Red energy is primarily focused on supporting changing environments and seeking courage, security and confidence in order to work through the particular circumstance. Red is all things intense and passionate. (I use red in my living area and on the wall of my husband's office - just to keep him focused!) In a nutshell - excitement, energy, desire, speed, strength, power, heat, love and all things intense and passionate.
Yellow energy gives us clarity, wisdom and knowledge. It will help us in times of low self-esteem or sense of being alone and is very supportive during times of study and renewal. Overall, yellow symbolises joy, happiness, optimism, idealism, imagination, hope, sunshine, summer and philosophy.
Green energy is the major balancer in the colour spectrum. Just look around at nature and see how calm you feel within five minutes or so of absorbing the many variations of green energy. This colour also represents our ability to give and care for others as well as ourself. It conjures up good health, good luck, renewal, youth, vigor, spring, generosity and fertility.
Turquoise energy's key role is to help us communicate what we really feel in a way that others understand our point of view and why we do what we do in certain situations. It is often referred to as an old soul who is returning to help others on their path so teaching is often an attraction. Peace, tranquility, calm, stability, harmony, unity, trust, truth, confidence, conservatism, security, cleanliness, order and loyalty.
Purple energy represents creativity of the mind - pure inspiration and mental agility. This energy harnesses all creativity, will help us to inspire others and generates a charming and friendly attitude. It signifies royalty, spirituality, nobility, ceremony, mystery, transformation, wisdom and enlightenment.
Pink energy is fast and exciting - it is associated with self realisation of our true strengths and accepting love of ourselves in order that we can also give to others. It is a nurturing and supportive colour to help us break free of old habits and ways of life. Look at natural and contemporary souces of this delicate color. First, regardless of your skin color, some part of your body is pink. So are sunsets and watermelons. Remember pink Cadillacs, Pink Floyd and the Pink Panther?
Our PlayPalace will not disappoint you indoors, proving to be a perfect time out space in bedrooms or playrooms. Plump up those cushions and why not add a cosy floor cushion or 2 - perfect for lying low during the last few weeks of cooler months. Good books, DVDs, music, cosy nights ahead ..... how about our beautiful quilts to make your bed fit for a princess?
Stay warm and dry through this tumultuous season and think about adding some colour to your world. Till we see you next time on this page .....
